Sawmill Gravy
Ingredients

  • 6 to 8 tablespoons bacon grease
  • 4 to 6 tablespoons self-rising flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2-3 cups Milk

Directions

Heat bacon grease in large skillet over medium heat. Add flour and bring to a hearty simmer and cook until the flour is golden brown. Season with salt and pepper. Reduce heat to low, and slowly add milk, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Bring the gravy mixture to a boil and simmer for about ten minute or until firm. Serve over Bacon Biscuits.

Serves 4.
